FIRST FRIDAY
Friday next is the First Friday of July.  The Infirm and Housebound of Donaghmoyne area will be attended in their homes on Thursday 1st July, those in Broomfield and Lisdoonan on Friday 2nd July at the usual times.

DUNAREE MASS ROCK, LISDOONAN
It is proposed to have the Annual Mass at Lisdoonan Mass Rock on Sunday 4th July at 3.00pm. (weather permitting).  Due to this Mass at the Mass Rock, baptisms will not be on Sunday 4th July but on the following Sunday 11th July at 3.00pm in Broomfield Church.

TRÓCAIRE LENTEN COLLECTION 2010
Our most sincere thanks to all who contributed very generously to this years collection in the parish which amounted to €12,500.00.  This money, sent to Trócaire some time ago, will be of great help to many in the third world who are struggling with the terrible effects of poverty.

MANNAN CASTLE GOLF CLUB-JUNIOR NEWS
Juvenile membership is open to anyone between the ages of 7 and 17.  This membership entitles you to play golf any weekday morning.  Competitions are run every Tuesday during the summer with group coaching available on Thursdays or Saturdays.  The cost to become a member until the end of September and avail of coaching is €75.00.  To extend the membership until the end of September 2011 costs an additional €40.00.  Golf clubs will be provided if you do not have your own.  Contact Kevin at the pro shop, located beside the driving range, for further details.  042-9663308.

DONAGHMOYNE HERITAGE
Donaghmoyne Heritage are holding a summer of car boot sales on the last Sunday of the month, starting this Sunday June the 27th at 9.30am in Lisdoonan community centre.  Proceeds to St. Patrick’s church restoration fund, €10.00 per vehicle.   Phone 086 1939495.

MUCKNO MANIA FESTIVAL
Guinness World Record attempt to have the largest gathering of cartoon characters (namely The Flintstones) on Friday 16th July at 7.00pm. 
We are asking people to make /source their own costumes however costumes are also available at Castleblayney Enterprise Centre.

CLOGHER PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES 2010
A meeting has been organised on Tuesday, June 29th at 8.00pm in the Four Seasons Hotel Monaghan for all who are booked on the Clogher Lourdes Pilgrimage which departs on July 6th 2010.  Travel documents will be distributed at this meeting.  Final arrangements will be discussed and the meeting will provide an opportunity to meet organisers and fellow pilgrims.

LISDOONAN NATIONAL SCHOOL
The Official Opening of Lisdoonan National School Extension will take place on Friday 1st October 2010.  (more details later)
